Manhattan’s preparation services are designed to be as all-inclusive as possible, providing the study resources needed by students of all sorts. We have compiled a list of the positives and negatives in this Manhattan GMAT review. These prep courses concentrate on reviewing and building on the fundamental academic knowledge you’ll need to score well on the test rather than looking for tricks and strategies for “gaming” the GMAT. Personally, I feel this is the best approach to take for GMAT preparation, primarily because it gives your the solid, flexible grounding you’ll need to handle whatever questions the test throws at you. They are very well-regarded by test-takers, and they have become some of the most popular training aids available today.

Manhattan GMAT Prep Review – The Advantages
1. Professional Instruction
The instructors in the program are rigorously screened and trained to ensure that they have the skills necessary to help you. Each instructor has scored in the 99th percentile or better on the GMAT. Furthermore, the company puts them through a comprehensive 100-hour training course before assigning them to students. The instructors that teach each student are an integral part of the educational process, having a hand in developing the curriculum and writing the strategy guides. You will find no better-prepared GMAT instructors anywhere.
2. More Post-Course Support
Manhattan preparation gives you full online access to all of your training materials for 9 months after you complete the primary preparation course. You can even get an access extension of a further 180 days if you require it.
3. Scheduling Details
The overall program requires 9 instructional sessions equating to 27 total hours of classroom instruction. You can take this instruction either in person or online. You receive a further 27 hours of help in the form of their online “sections.” These are online meetings with your instructor in which you’ll review coursework and homework assignments provided according to the official study guide. The sections are all led by the same well-qualified prep instructors, and there are three sections to accompany each class. They are broken down according to the test’s three focus areas: Verbal, Basic Quant, and Advanced Quant.
All Manhattan prep courses and sections — whether you take them in person or online — are also available in pre-recorded form. This allows you to make up for any instructional sessions or sections you miss at your convenience.
Finally, the preparation program also gives you nine computer exercises through the company’s “Online Lab Sessions.” Each of these labs will take between one hour and 90 minutes to complete. The labs provide you with additional material which goes beyond the scope of the instruction provided in the class sessions.
4. Fundamentals-Based Education
Their curriculum is geared towards helping you master the material rather than drilling you on an endless stream of practice questions.
5. Fits Your Schedule
Depending on how much free time you have, you may find either the in-person or online courses to be a better fit for your needs. Both will deliver the top-notch preparatory assistance you’re looking for. As noted above, you also have full recordings available to catch up on any sessions you miss. Finally, they also offers some self-study courses that are ideally suited for slower-paced GMAT test preparation.
6. Online Resources
Regardless of the studying option you choose, you’ll find the online resources provided to you to be extremely useful. You’ll enjoy full-time access to these aids both during and after your course.
Manhattan Test Prep are certainly not the cheapest on the market. The online courses start at $1,299 while live courses begin at $1,599. The key feature which justifies these costs is the exceptional quality of their instruction and the broad range of online resources included in the courses. No other preparation service delivers this level of quality for a significantly lower price.
2. Results Not Guaranteed
You will not have any recourse to get your money back after beginning the GMAT courses. You will get ongoing support and online access after your course is complete; Manhattan also allows you to setup a meeting with one of their instructors after taking the GMAT. If you choose to re-take the course, you can usually do so at a significant discount.
